Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Middle click on external link does not open the page in a new tab

On Chrome, middle clicking on an external link opens the page in the current tab after a small delay instead of opening it in a new tab.

To reproduce, go to this page and try to middle click the git-annex link. It will open in the same tab. To see the correct behavior, scroll down and middle click the Tutorials category, it will open in a new tab.

Right clicking and selecting open in new tab works as expected for both types of links.

You might need to take off the / before the parenthesis after you open the link, it seems there's a Stack Exchange bug with the way the link is formatted

In the meantime, for anyone where this issue is slowing their progress, in Chrome you can rmb click and choose "Open in a new tab." Also, this does not appear to be an issue in Firefox.
