Engine Crashes on Launch - No Callstack, Fixes do not work

When I try to launch unreal engine it opens the project browser and then shuts it down. If I try to launch again the program stops responding and then closes everything. And opens the crash reporter that says:
“We apologize for the inconvenience. Please send this crash report to help improve our software.”

I have tried to install the patch given from another question. I have also tried to verify the the program. But none have worked.

I have checked the logs in “Unreal Engine\4.0\Engine\Saved\Logs” but its just an empty .txt-file there.

My system specs:
Intel Core i5-4670K, 3.4 GHz
16 GB RAM
ASUS GeForce GT 640 2GB PhysX CUDA
And Im running Windows 7 64 bit.

Hi bloons,

Apologies for the delayed response. Many issues have been able to solve issues like this by installing (or reinstalling) Win 7 Service Pack 1. Are you able to try that, and let us know if it has helped to resolve the issue?

Thanks

Im afraid I can uninstall service pack since it came with windows.

Hi again,

I just wanted to say that I have now upgraded to windows 8 and now unreal works just fine.
