The epic games launcher displays my password and not my username in the top right. When my friend added me to his friends list it always shows him my password, and not my username.
This could happen if you have something like chrome that auto-fills the fields when you sign up. Please contact custom support to get your display name changed and perhaps change your password as well

I had CS go ahead and change the password to a temp password so no one reading this issue will be able to log into your account. They should be sending you an e-mail soon with the temp password. Please contact them in that e-mail though to get your display name changed.
