Will there be a Epic step by step tutorial showing how to import a character from Max to UE4?

I’m looking at the “Owen” Character in the Cloth sample map. I have Characters rigged with the Epic UE3 skeleton; I want to replace Owen with my own Mesh. Obviously the bone names have changed. Will there be a series on how to go from Max to UE4 with characters and vehicles, like Zak’s Blueprints series?

There’s this one for Maya if you have Maya and can get your rig into it?

Maya Riggingt

Not sure if there are any Max plugins, only Maya ones in the files.

I saw the Tutorial video set for Maya; but that seemed more of a demo of the ART tools than the flow from 3D app to UE4. When I import a MAX generated character-rig-FBX into the content browser there are any number of dialogues that are hard for me to fathom. The UE4 method is new. I could use a step by step import-setup methodology. And a sample Character similar to “UT3_Male-rig.max”? That was very helpful back then. But I know how to rig a Character, its the setup in UDK that I need a guide for.

I need a “Here’s a rigged FBX (from any App, Maya, Blender etc), what you do is…(Six steps)…and now the player can control him.” kind of thing. Could be just Text explanation, no video.

And one for Vehicles…and weapons!
By the way, UE4 is awesome, so was UE3. Best engine on the planet.

Yeah am having a go at weapons myself, I have a rigged one in Max with an animset but with UDK you used Actor X to split the entire animation into the various aspects, fire, reload etc, so atm I have the full animation in UE4 but have no idea how to ‘split’ the animations or if i need to do that in my 3d package, also need to then figure out blueprinting it!

This is the kind of thing I’m looking for. This guy really barrels through his explanations. And he’s multi-lingual too. Impressive.

I’d love to see a tutorial on how to create the flying saucer in "Blueprint_Input_Example.
