How to apply pitch to 3rd person character and camera

i have a character with a spring arm and a camera, as well as a static mesh in one blueprint, i have working x-y movement but i cannot pitch my character or my camera in order to ‘ascend’ or 'descend. my goal is to produce a fish type third person control using the WASD keys and mouse. similar to sharks in “Depth” below is my kismet so far, any help or suggestions on getting pitch contol to effectively work would be great.

I just found this solution and it is the most idiotic problem that I ever had withthe same problem, in your spring arm component, just check the option “use pawn control rotation” on the “camera settings” option in details panel
