It says in news part of launcher that 4.7 is out yet i haven’t gotten a prompt to update my Unreal 4 from 4.6.1 to 4.7 ? do i have to uninstall then re-download it to get it to 4.7?
Try going to Library tab then click on Add Versions icon above your installed versions.
When I do that it only comes up with previous versions…

To install 4.7, you’ll need to click +Add Versions button in Library. This will create a new slot, in which you can select version you would like to install. Hope that helps!
Is there a question/exclamation mark anywhere in Library section? I remember there being one up above versions you have installed.

in library section there is a 1 but that stays there because I bought something in marketplace…

In Launcher, could you click cog button in top right, and select “Show launcher logs”
Then up files you find there and attach them?

Try delete 4.6 and install 4.7

I took a look at logs you posted. Can you go to “C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Launcher\PatchStaging” and delete any folders you might see in there.
If there are no folders or that does not get 4.7 showing in drop down try uninstalling/reinstalling launcher.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling launcher… i try to download 4.7.3
but I can’t go past “Repair” stage
So you are now able to see 4.7.3 in list, but this time it is displaying a repair option? If this is happening please send us your latest logs with issue happening.

It looks as if you may have hit a bug in our 1.11 release regarding engine being install to wrong place.
Do you see 4.7 in your UI now though, with repair? Could you add a screenshot of that please so I know exactly what you mean.
Can you also please navigate to
D:\Program Files\Epic Games\Launcher\VaultCache\
Check if there is a UE_4.7 folder in there. If there is, this is cause of your problems.
You can either just delete it, and then you’ll be able to re-download 4.7 properly, or you can try instructions on this other post to save it by placing it in correct place and install won’t have to download data:-
For yourself, from post linked above, you’ll need to adjust path mentioned as “D:\Unreal\Epic Games” to your equivalent of “D:\Program Files\Epic Games”
