Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Anamorphic lens flare

I can't seem to find away to do this, nor have I found an answer here. I want to know how I can use anamorphic lens flares instead of bokeh, either by replacing it or using some kind of directional blur. I did find something that seemed perfect on another question page (here) but the links are all broken, so I can't do anything with it sadly. Any ideas? I would really prefer some kind of shader over a static image.

Hey, i had written that shader once (to be seen in the link you posted), however it turned out it wasn't exactly a comfortable way of controlling an effect like this. I was unfortunately preoccupied with other things afterwards, which is why i couldn't follow up on the stuff i did there.

Right now i think it would be best to replace the current bloom post fx with the anamorphic version rather than trying to plug this into the bloom effect. I just have to figure out a way to do this without having to change the engine source (which turned out to be a cumbersome method when dealing with continuous updates to the engine).

The shader in itself isn't really difficult to make, performance however is where it might get tricky. I hope that some of these days i'll get to back into continuing that, as there seems to be demand for it.
