Can't take screenshot in package game

Hello mate, as the title suggest, i can’t take screenshot in package game and in the launch mode, even though if i use console command HighResShot 2 when playing in editor, it work just fine. When i enter the same command in package game, the game will freeze for a minutes or two, then continue without taking screenshot, and i have look everywhere but i can’t find anything. I have try both version 4.6.1 and 4.7.3, same error with package and launch.

Howdy CKong,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I have been able to replicate this issue internally . I have written Jira Report UE-12153 and placed this issue into our bug database so that it may be resolved in a future release build.

At this time I am uncertain as to when this issue may be resolved but I will be sure to keep you posted as I know more.

Thanks and have a great day!

Some news into this, if i use only “Shot” console command or press F9 only, i can get some screenshot no problem at all. But if i use “HighResShot 2”, that command won’t create any screenshot but still show me the message that the screenshot was saved, then after that, if i continue to use “HighResShot 2”, no screenshot will come out, and if i switch back to using “Shot” or F9, my program will crash, leaving behind the following call stack. link text

Thank you for the additional information CKong. I will be sure to add test ‘Shot’ and, pending on the outcome, add this information to the report.

Thanks!

Howdy CKong,

This is has just come back as happening by design. We do not allow high res shots unless using Standalone or Play in Editor. As you have stated above, you can use ‘Shot’ or F9 to capture an image.

Thanks!

Thank you for your effort mate. Really appreciate it, have a good day and keep up the good work.

Seriously? Someone said that a crash was by design?

Can you take pictures of your project bp please i can’t manage to make it work (taking pictures in package game)
