Problem with attaching weapon to character

So I imported a weapon and added sockets and attached it to the character. I see the weapon where I placed it on the hand. But the character completely spazzes out by super jumping, not allowing me to run straight, somehow flying straight up when I don’t do anything. I am extremely confused and have no idea what happened. I looked at this tutorial and a few other, but they were all the same.

I am a complete beginner to UE4 and I don’t eactly know what I am doing. Also I messed with some of the collision settings(after everything glitched out) and the result was pretty much the. The only time t didn’t glitch out, was when I completely rmoved the socket entireley.

You need to call Set Actor Enable Collision so the playert is not colliding with the sword.
