Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to disable v-sync for GPU profiling?

Just a quick question:

I try to find some GPU bottlenecks. Therefore I disabled v-sync in the Nvidia control panel and tried to switch it of in the console with 'r.vsync 0'. But UE4 still locks to my display's refresh rate (no tearing visible, framerate 30/60/120 fps).

It's the same when I run the game as standalone.

Version: 4.7.3

EDIT: Added bug report tag as r.vsync 0 has no effect.

BTW, I just tried this in 4.8 and it works fine. Toggling vsync on my project took the GPU time from 16.67 to 9.7ms. In another scene, it appeared to not be working, but that was just because the GPU time spent was the same as the vsync
