Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hi GrumpyCat,

Could you follow the steps in this section of the troubleshooting guide to generate your Debug Logs? You will need to follow the 'From Outside of the Launcher' directions.

Hi GrumpyCat,

Could you also provide us with your DxDiag? You can get the DxDiag.txt file by going to the start menu and typing in "dxdiag" without the quotes. Click the "Save All Information" button at the bottom of the window and save the file to the desktop

Reply back and attach that file so we can get a better idea of your system specs.

Hi GrumpyCat,

Do you have a graphics card other than the "Intel(R) Q35 Express Chipset Family" that is listed in your dxdiag? If you do not, the issue is because this card only support DirectX9 and DirectX11 is recommended in order to run the Launcher/editor.

Even if you upgrade your graphics card you will likely see performance issues because your processor is dual-care and not the recommended Quad-care.

Here is what we recommend:

  • Desktop PC with Windows 7 64-bit or a Mac with Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later

  • 8 GB RAM

  • Quad-core Intel or AMD processor

  • DX11 compatible video card

If you would like to see what others are using to run the editor, please take a look at this forum post.

Cheers,

TJ
