Foliage Material problem

I’m newbie of this. So, i have painted foliage like this. You’ll see that grass model without material which it not far away too much from player’s view.

But, when i closer look.

Look the grass at the left of cursor (A bit far). It show grass material if i come close to it.

Also in editor mode.

I don’t know how to fix this problem. Because i don’t know too much about unreal 4. Please tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks

And…If you don’t mind to resolve my other problem, here this one!!! The left one is mesh from foliage tool, the right one from manual. You’ll see the left one don’t have shadow like the right one.

Why shadow don’t show from the left one, and i have building light for a several time!!! Please tell me how to fix this problem.I’ll thanks you very much for fix this one. Thanks.

You have a problem with your LOD settings, check the static mesh for what is set to LOD1 and so on…the problem might be that there is no material set for LOD1.

About the shadow, you probably should learn a bit more about the foliage tool before using it. Please watch tutorials or read the unreal documentation because shadow, LOD settings and so on have to be set in the settings of the foliage tool.
