Crashed with several blueprints and levels open, now cannot restore old uassets

I knew I should have made a backup but I was in the thick of editing. I had several windows opened when I was configuring several functions which cannot compile yet but I saved nevertheless. What happened is that I saw the hard disk spin hard, UE4 froze, I went to the bathroom and when I came back I was booted back to the Windows screen with no crash error.

I relaunch UE4, open my old projects, and I notice all the files which were open during the crash would cause UE4 to crash (see attachment). If I opened other assets it was fine. What is interesting is that I try to overwrite the old .uasset using the old versions from /Saved/Backup but even when opening they still crash.

I have a feeling it’s something in the uncompiled functions which is still affecting everything, is there a way to start fresh and be able to test each asset for corruption?
