Importerd animation has strange overlaping problem

This problem is not with the model, it only happens in my animations. It’s almost like the body was in two haves that were pushed too far together. I’ve been messing with settings for a while but can’t figure this out. Also this asset was made in Blender and the animations look fine in there.

I really need some help with this one. Any ideas on what is causing this?

I found a way to work around this problem, and changes have been made to Blender’s fbx exporter since this was posted
