Vehicle Collision with other vehicle issue

Why Does Colliding with other vehicles give unexpected results , the vehicle jumps and rotates for no reason. I am using 4.7.2

Is this a bug? Because its very unrealistic that vehicle at 10 kmph if collided with other vehicle will spring off and fell away like some bomb has exploded.

You can reproduce this bug easily, in vehicle starter kit add 2 vehicles and then collide them.

I also did many things to fix it:

  • Increased mass
  • Added force from top
  • Created physical surface type with 0 restitution
  • Tried playing with collision profiles too
  • Importing my own collision mesh

But none gave a realistic behavior. This has been addressed before too for advanced vehicle, but no response has been given from EPIC

Try the test in a new map with nothing but the cars and a plane.

Also try using a different car asset maybe the blue car from the car example or the car from the race track example. There might be something messed up with the asset in general/ This can test to make sure that its not the asset and it could be purly the car physics that is the issue.

I tested with different assets, its definitely not asset. You yourself can try it with stock vehicle template.
