How do I make an object gravitate toward another object?

Hi there, I’m adding an XP system to my game based around orbs that are dropped when an enemy is killed. I want the orbs to be pulled toward the player when he is within a certain range and they should keep moving toward him until he is out of range or they are picked up by overlapping him. I can’t seem to get any method of movement to work, what would be the most appropriate way to go about it as it’s a very simple problem and I must just be missing something. Thanks very much.
