Why is this UE4 dependency not specified in Visual Studio?

1>------ Rebuild All started: Project: Islands, Configuration: Development_Editor x64 ------
2>------ Skipped Rebuild All: Project: UE4, Configuration: BuiltWithUnrealBuildTool Win32 ------
2>Project not selected to build for this solution configuration

Each time I regenerate the files for a project with C++, it unckecks “build” for UE4. I have to manually select it each time.

Is it unnecessary to select it, and if so, what’s it doing there? It didn’t bug me with this in 4.6
