BSPs have no shaders or reflections

The title says it all.

Please provide more information. Explain what you are doing and show us how you are doing it.

I am learning the very basics of the engine by following the tutorials on youtube.I am watching the level design segment with Parrish. His Bsp brushes in the video are roughly rendered in real time. () 's default first person setup has a reflective floor, whereas mine did not. When I build lighting it fixes the issue of course, but its ominous feeling like something is wrong. Ive attached a screenshot of what my room looks like, having been created with the same steps featured in the tutorial. Is this a change with my update of the software?

Looks like you just need to rebuild the light. It’s absolutely normal for you to rebuild after moving a BSP, and I have this ugly dark look too when I don’t.

Maybe skipped the rebuild parts in order to be more interesting : you would be bored if there was so much time of the video being lighting rebuild !
