Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

A couple of question about IK

Hello everyone, i am mostly a lurker in the AnswerHub, i hate the idea of disturbing someones work to answer my (commonly) silly questions, so... first of all, thank you to take your time.

Im trying to do some IK hands animation. I looked for resources on "AnswerHub", the forums , and youtube but some details escape from my eye...

1) The first strange thing to me is the "Joint Target Location" of the "Two Bone IK" component of the animation blueprint. What i understand is when you use the "Effector Location Space" on "Bone Space" you have to define the "Join Target Location" , which is totally logical. But in every project example i saw the "Join Target" is a default value with some kind of random value ( I know is not random , but i dont know where it comes from). So , the question is, "How you define that value?". References: alt text alt text

2) Working with the IK hands i got something... "Working". alt text

But i have a problem with the right hand...

alt text

I define my hand rotation with the normal of the wall (i know this is only working with XZ walls im working on it) like this. alt text

But , "How that affect the elbow , and how can i fix that?".

Well, for now i only have this 2 questions, thanks for read and sorry for my poor english. :)

seem like the right elbow and shoulder rotation exactly same as left ones, except the right hand, u should check your setting, maybe u copy from left hand to right, and the joint target is different, try to tweak and see if any different.

Thanks for the tip... I changed the joint target to BoneSpace instead of WorldSpace , and seems to work now.. alt text

Sadly , im not sure why works now , or why doesn't work before. In the documentation is not clear at all :(

Yeah, i read somewhere about the joint target but cannot remember, but still it don't explain much, and the document is not so clear also, this mostly from playing around.
