Been having no luck with any troubleshooting, and I’ve tried everything for at least 2 days now.

Hi SRigney,

I’m sorry if you have already tried these but just to be sure.

Have you tried the " -http=wininet" solution from this troubleshooting guide? Make sure to leave the space but remove the quotation marks.

If that doesn’t work, also try the other suggestions as well.

I really have tried all those with no luck.

Hi Srigney,

I took a look at your logs you posted and I do see an issue with MCP trying to connect. Have you checked to make sure you’re not behind a proxy? It would also help to get debug logs for this issue. You can find the steps to get the debug logs here.

I’m currently at my college using their connection, so it’s possible, but I believe I’ve had the same issue in my own home. It’s possible, but I’m not entirely sure on that one. If I had to guess, I’d say no just because I have the problem almost everywhere I connect from.

hmm sounds like the debug logs will definitely help pinpoint the issue at hand. Take a look at the link I posted earlier on how to get those debug logs, post them here, and I’ll take a look at them!

Try that

hmm these logs don’t appear to be debug logs. Are you using the command line or going through the launcher menu to get the debug logs? Also make sure you close out of the launcher before grabbing the logs.

I’m sorry about that; try this one. (I really hope that’s correct.)

Unfortunately, these still look like regular logs. What method are you using to get the logs? have you made sure to close the launcher before grabbing the logs?

When you click Enable debug logging, did you select Restart?

I was using the in client method, and yes, I made sure I did close the launcher before grabbing them.

Yes, and I just tried using the other method, but when going into my User folder I find my UserName folder but not AppData. I can’t find that folder in the path “C:\Users"Username”\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\Logs" and I’ve looked elsewhere with no luck.

The last log you sent showed that it was restarting with the -debug logging enabled before closing. It seems this is log file would not be the latest. If you want, you can zip up you log files and I can take a look through them all.

Heh, I’m sure you don’t want to look through all of them, but these are all the logs I had.

Ok I was able to look at some of the logs that had debug logging on them and it looks like a libcurl 35 error. I’m working with our developer team on a solution of the issue and I’ve entered it in out database.

In the meantime, there is some additional information you can get that would prove helpful for us. Firstly, can you confirm this is an issue that reproduces 100% time fore you? Secondly can you try getting debug logs with the “-http=wininet” command?

I absolutely can, but could you tell me exactly how to do both first? Haha

And I don’t know if you want actual proof of it happening 100%, but I can say that it has happened 100% of the time for me.

Here you go. Follow the first step in this section of the guide to add the " -http=wininet" to your shortcut path. Just make sure to leave in the space but remove the quotation marks.

Then generate your Debug Logs like before. Directions for that are also included towards the bottom of that link.

Hi SRigney,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please try my suggestion then post your Debug Logs.

Cheers,

TJ
