Importing downloaded FBX

I’m sure this has been asked a million times, but I can’t seem to find anything on here. Anyway, I downloaded this desk.fbx model and I want to import it into UE4. But I completely forgot how. When I try to import the file, it doesn’t show up as a file to import. So I’m lost. Any help or explanation will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

can’t you just go Import, select All Files on the dropdown in the bottom right (assuming you’re using Windows) and select your fbx file? What exactly are your steps?

Alright, I actually got it to import… But it has no materials on it and the scale size is extremely small when I bring it out of the content browser. And I got the error:

“No smoothing group information was found in this FBX scene. Please make sure to enable the “Export Smoothing Groups” option in the FBX Exporter plug-in before exporting the file.Even for tools that do not support smoothing groups, the FBX Exporter will generate appropriate smoothing data at export-time so that correct vertex normals can be inferred while importing.”

So I’m not sure how to fix that. The textures are jpegs and I’m not sure how to mess with those. Any ideas?
