Is it possible to run UE 4.7.3 from an external drive on another computer?

We are currently limited by our school network so we can not install the engine ourselves on the computers. The computers already have UE 3 but the IT department won´t upgrade to UE4 for some reason. Therefore i wonder if there is any way at all that we can run the Engine on the computers? It might be worth noting that we do NOT have administrator privilages.
I have installed the engine on an external drive and will try during this week but wonder if there is anyone else that has tried this and perhaps succeded?

As far as I know, if You’ve the source code installed, You can build it normally even if it’s on external hard. But I’m not sure.

Hi!

You can try to copy Engine, FeaturePacks and Template folders from *\Epic Games\4.7* to folder on your external drive. Then start YOUR_DRIVE:\New_Folder\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe.
