How do I fade tessaltion over distance in my material?

The tesalation on my materials is beautiful but also a resource hog.
Could someone tell me how I’d fade that tessellation value over the distance That way it’d be easier on my resources? I’ve built a mean hieght map in World machine but the tessellation is destroying my frame rate…

I’m not sure since i don’t have GPU that supports tessellation, but isn’t tessellation can be effected by material editor? If yes then you could use depth map to scale the effect

you’re probably correct. I’m just not sure exactly how to to obtain the depth map or even how to use it properly…
