Using Debris Max Seperation disables physics

Set a Destruction asset to Simulate Physics.
Go in DM settings
Set Enable Debris True
Set Debris Depth 0
Set Debris Max Separation True

The object will have no physics and no collision in game.

Hi Davison,

Can you provide an example along with your destructibles settings that you’re using?

I’m not seeing this behavior on my end.

Here are my settings:

Once those are set I can set the destructible in the scene with it above the ground. I set the DM to Simulate Physics.

When I PIE/Simulate the DM will fall and any chunk that steps outside the min/max separation values will be destroyed/removed from the scene.

  • What build version of the engine are you working with?
  • Can you test this in a new project and see if the same results happen?
  • If you’re using any specific OS other than windows this would also be helpful to know.

Let me know.

Thanks!

Tim
