Slow Map load times

The asset in question is the showcase map with the new ‘kite’ demo asset. Although, its not specific to that map.
I’m running on what I would consider to be a fairly high end PC

Specs:

i7-5960x
GTX 750ti
8gb Ram
512g Samsung Pro SSD
z99 chipset

Yet the map load times are incredibly high. It took 30+ minutes for the Showcase Map to load on the Kite asset reel.

Are there any solutions to this? I’ve allocated more vitual memory and I understand I need more ram. But surely, it should take that long

It also says Unreal engine is not responding in Task Manager

Im having the same problem, Is it some kind of bug with 4.7.4?

Same problem here on current master branch. It’s not limited to the kite assets showcase map but it’s definitely the slowest I’ve come across so far. I suspect it’s because those assets are so detailed. There’s over 6gb worth of stuff in the kite assets content and the showcase map probably uses most of it :slight_smile:

Still having the same problems with 4.9.2 and I have Core I7 & DDR4 Ram 32 GB // 2000MHz & Titan X
