Why is Unreal 4 Crashing at Launch?

After installing on my Sony Vaio:

  • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
  • Intel(R) Core™2 Duo CPU T9900 @3.06GHz 3.07GHz
  • Ram: 8.00GB
  • 64-bit

I am having trouble launching Unreal 4. It works on my desktop, however, for the sake of portability, I was trying to get it to work on my laptop. The crash report says:

“UE4Editor-Cmd.exe”

Forgive me if it seems like a dumb question, I’m just not too hardware-literate when it comes to machine specs. And I couldn’t find anywhere in the FAQ section a list of minimum system requirements, only recommended ones. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Can you attach the log file? Without it it’s impossible to say what crashed, thanks!

Hmm, when I follow the instructions in the link provided, I find “UnrealEnginelauncher” which is a text document, but if that is the correct file, it won’t let me load it as an attachment, it says that it is not a permitted file type. Recommendation? Again, sorry for the trouble.

If you are having problems uploading a particular file, try placing it in a ZIP file and uploading that instead.

Tada?

New patch fixed the problem! Thank you guys!
