Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Is Unreal Networking suitable for a VR Chat Type application?

I'm trying to build a VR chatroom with 3d positional audio and am trying to build a prototype as a first step.

I love the simplicity on UE4's blueprint networking, but the hosting and running of the servers seems to be a bottleneck and a timesink. There are multiplayer as a service products such as Photon that are commercially available and pretty affordable. Does anyone with experience building multiuser experiences on Unreal have any insight as to whether or not I should use UE4 or another one of these hosted services?

I'm sorry my question is vague, but I've looked into many of them and they all seem to be good. The important thing is ease of use, and ability to rapidly prototype. I don't necessarily need something production ready.
