Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can't install UnrealEngineInstaller.msi, error 2503 and error 2502

Downloaded latest UnrealEngineInstaller.msi to desktop Win 8.1, 6 gigs of RAM, Nvidia 760 Trying to install to "C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\" (an SSD drive)

"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2503."

Closing that box I immediately get:

"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2503." Then the installer only gives me a FINISH button. So kinda stuck.

I also tried redownloading in the hopes the first .msi was corrupted. No luck. :(

This sounds like a permission issue on the install folder. Does your user have full control over the program files folder?
