Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can't Join Session Between client & client

Hi, I'm studying session network.(example project is Multiplayer shooting)

but i find error. if client makes a session room but other clients can't join session room Error code is.. travel error??

why can't join session room? if can't join room between client & client how can i solve this problem

Hello,

I'm not sure I understood you, Are you trying to replicate the way networking works on the MultiplayerShootout to your project? Or you are unable to connect between two clients in the MultiplayerShootout project?

i'm making my FPS Project. but i can't join sesssion between clients so, I test Multiplayer Shootout project but i can't join room also

I'm not sure of how much I can help you, but I'll do my best. In MultiplayerShootout: I assume you're trying to run this with a Dedicated Server? If so, try without, what are the results? are you able to join when the server hosts and client joins?

EDIT: Do you have skype?

in my project, client can make session and i check session length it but other clients push joinsession button, can't see anythings i'm sure characters and projectile's replicate true But not dedicate server, server makes room, clients can join room only one (this case my project permit 2player maximum) this case can see projectiles and chracter


In MultiplayShootout project, Im trying to run this with a Dedicated server. in this case, only Clients make session right? but if Clients make session room the others can't join session. error display is it -> failed to travel. Load Map Failed

Lets focus on solving the MultiplayerShootout first, because its probably the easiest and can maybe tell us something about the problem.

Try without Dedicated Server, make sure server is opening the session and client joins. Check the Window Title for Server or Client. I can't remember if the project MultiplayerShootout supports Dedicated Server, that is why we wont use it now. From what I remember you should be able to join the session thru from either the MainMenu map, then look up the server in Server List, or directly into the game, Level01/Level02

If you can't play with 2 instances of MultiplayerShootout perhaps something is wrong with your connectivity for some reason, perhaps the computer is blocking it? Anti Virus? Firewall?

Tell me whats going on, if you made it we can move on to your project. I just wants to be really thorough with this.

without Dedicated server, absolutely can join session. but.. i didn't mean this situation i think this problem is that my knowledge about session network and uncorrect communication because my poor english .. sorry but VERY THANKS for your comment !! have a nice day ^^

Cool,

Regarding your project, make sure you include this: [OnlineSubsystem] DefaultPlatformService=Null In your projects folder: "Config/DefaultEngine.ini" see attached photo.

Also make sure you watch: https://www.unrealengine.com/blog/blueprint-networking-tutorials
