If widget is in Canvas Panel sometimes I get "Graph is linked to objects in external map"

I have my main UI widget and if I drag and drop a child widget in there it works without any problems.

But if I first create a CanvasPanel in my UI widgets CanvasPanel and then put the child widget in the canvas panel and try to save, I sometimes get this message:

I can use it without problems, but I can’t save the main UI widget. I only have one map, and the Objects mentioned in this message are placed inside of my level.
I actually access them with “Get All Actors of Class → Get 0” inside of my child widget. It may not be the best way to access them, but I want to keep it simple. And it works if I don’t put the child widget inside of a manually created CanvasPanel but only inside of the main Canvaspanel.

So this works always:

Then if I put it like this:

http://puu.sh/h56rn/f487c89603.png

I sometimes get the Error. Sometimes it also works, then I delete and add the minimap widget until it does not work. And if I then drag the minimap widget out of the cavas panel in the root canvas panel it also does not work, until I delete the minimap and add it new to the upper canvas panel.

Its strange. I’m sorry I can’t tell you how and when exactly this is happening. But it’s annoying.

Hello ,

I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few question for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. What version of the engine are you using when receiving this error?
  2. Does this happen with any other widgets other than the User created MiniMap widget shown in the screen shot?
  3. Have you moved any of the mentioned assets to different folders?
  4. Does this error occur in a clean project with no assets from the project that is throwing the error?

Hello ,

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will offer further assistance.
