Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Blueprint Lift tutorial not working with basic character set up?

Hello all,

First thing to mention, this is literally the first time I have used Blueprints and Matinee. I am impressed by it, it seems like after some practice it will be pretty easy to figure out by myself, but for now, I need your help mighty UE4 wizards.

I have used this tutorial on a project I've been working on to set up a character, and it works fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMD-z2Xni8U

I have also set up a lift from this tutorial: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Blueprint_Lift_Tutorial

Every step seems to have gone well, the lift works in Matinee, but when I click 'Play' and have a little stroll around, the Lift doesn't work.

My rudimentary understanding of this is telling me that I have only set up a camera for the player and he has no body, so the lift has nothing to collide with. I could be completely wrong.

My question is, using these two tutorials after being set up, how can I make them work together, so I can collide with the platform and move upwards?

Thanks in advance!
