Is there an issue with converting 4.4 to 4.6?

I am working on a student game and have been tasked with creating some smaller blueprints to make the game more fun to play. We have been using 4.4 all year up until about a week ago where we updated to 4.6. One of the levels we created in the Level Outliner will not allow myself or the teacher to save or edit anything in it without crashing from the editor window. Is this a common issue or is the level just corrupt?

I have tried grabbing an older level that I know works on the 4.4 engine and copying it into the newer version, but it has the same effect. crashing.

Does this occur if you create a clean project in 4.4 and update it to 4.6? Additionally is your project blueprint or c++? Are you using the launcher version of the editor or the github source build?
