In which update did you upgrade to FBX 2014?

Just notice today that “The UE4 FBX import pipeline uses FBX 2014”, last time (like a few weeks ago) i remember it always says “FBX 2013”,… can’t find anywhere in what version or update they upgraded to FBX 2014. Anyone knows about it?
I’m using 3ds Max 2012, and can’t upgrade to 2014, now I have concerns of having future incompatibilities issues with importing skeletal meshes to UE4, and be forced to stop using 3ds Max 2012 frown emoticon
( the last plugin you can install to max 2012 is FBX 2013)

Aditional related question: There is no intention of backward compatibility with older FBX formats or an exclusive UE4 plugin for 3ds Max so we can’t be forced to upgrade 3ds Max or compromised with FBX only?

Greetings,
Denys

This was updated last June with 4.2.

You can still use older FBX versions, but there will be an associate warning that you should sue FBX 2014.

Wow, that was long time ago  I’m not having any serious problem importing my models so maybe I have to be less concerned. Would be good that the compatibility remains with old FBXs as much as possible, because UE4 is free, but MAX is not
Thanks Tim.
