Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

When mesh is curved, material seems inverted

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to UE4, but I've searched for awhile, and haven't found a resolved question for this yet.

I have a mesh I made in modo of a brick wall, and applied a material to it. I think it looks alright.

However, when I bend the wall mesh in modo 180 degrees, the material looks sort of transparent, or inverted, and I can see pattern consisting of small yellow dashes on the mesh.

My lights are: default skylight and directional light. For the material, I just imported .tga:

The only difference between the two meshes are the mesh shapes. The UVs are the same. The problematic mesh is on the right. Help would be appreciated! :)

Hey guys, I figured it out. When importing the asset, try using 'compute normals' instead of 'import normals' in the import settings.
