Matinee cinematic not working in package project win64

Hello guys,

i was working a scene with matinee cinematic with 3 camera cut scene when i preview it in unreal editor it plays well but when i package it in win64 executable the matinees not playing but instead a black screen for a few seconds then plays normal, my point is where is my animation in matinee? i have my blue print well but maybe something is missing i have my attachment:

i included already an eventbeginplay i dont know whats missing?
i hope somebody could point me out how to deal with this, i just need to include a cinematic before it play, thanks.

Howdy jade,

Thank you for reporting this issue that you have been seeing. I have just attempted to reproduce this issue internally and have not been able to see any errors with the project. In the top Matinee Cinematic, If you uncheck ‘Hide Player’, would you still be experiencing the same results?

Would you be able to replicate this issue in a blank template project? What version of UE4 would you be using and would that version be a binary or source build of the engine?

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

as of now i’m away from my computer. UE4.7.4 downloaded from github and compiled with visual studio 2013 to development win64. i’ll give some test with the option you gave whenever im with my computer.
i dont have idea if my version is binary or source? coz i dont know yet about this, but if you tell me and differentiate what is binary or source it would be great. i’ll tell you the details soon, thank you very much.

anyway where can I find to uncheck the “Hide Player” option? Project Settings? Editor Prefe? thanks

Hi Sean,

i figure it out now : ) i just set my Project Settings in Maps & Modes in game default map to old file level where the is no matinee yet then i saveas with a new one with matinee now then package them with the old maps so thats why i dont have the cinematic. attached the image for the default map

thank you very Sean : )

Hey jade,

You can uncheck this check box in your level blueprint. Here is photo of the node and it is unchecked:

The difference between Binary and Source is that Binary is UE4 downloaded from the UnrealEngine.com website and source is downloaded through GitHub

Let me know if this helps with your issue.

Thanks!

has been solve already i’ve change the projects settings of maps & modes with the current level, and thank you for explaining bout the binary and source and pointing me the hide player option. thank you very much : )

Glad to hear that the issue has been resolved jade! If you experience an error like this in a future release, Please be sure to reopen this issue so that I may be able to re-test this issue.

Thanks!
