How would we go about enabling a player character swinging back and forth from a stationary object, akin to a gymnast swinging from the high-bar?
Ideally we would like to use ragdoll physics on our character, but all attempts at this so far have been an epic fail. We have looked at Swingninja but it didn't really help us.
We have tried spawning Physics Constraint Actors, connected to one of our characters bones and the object we hit with a line trace but it is insanely buggy. General theory that covers every aspect of swinging is what we are looking for.
instead of ragdolling all of the characters bones, which can look buggy, maybe you could attach the character to a simpler chain of bones, with Ik targets.
