UE4 Freeze / Slow when importing, processing changes

Hi there,
While using UE4 (Latest April 15, 2015 (4.7) I have to wait about an hour for it to go through a simple import of a basic 4k poly geometry or when its doing it"processing outstanding changes 0 of 1" and it will remain frozen that way for awhile.
It makes me wonder if its trying to use on board graphics instead of the real one since my on board is 16mb.
Mine is running on 32GB RAM DDR3, 32 Core 1.4 - 3.4Ghz Opteron and 8(2x4) GBGDDR5 295x2 with upto 4Gbps true speed SSD(Asus Pcie) and steady 160mbps+ HDD SCSI where the project is located. So I don’t think my hardware specs should be a problem source but maybe it could be. :S The setup is mainly AMD/ASUS
Task manager reports UE4 process of 2.4M memory which looks like its working. Performance 5% with the CPU which looks normal(if its grabbing a single cpu out of 32 at a time). Can’t verify GPU usage at this moment but it supports the latest Direct X (namely 11 as well).
Its boggling since my old laptop G75VX is much faster than this.
As we speak I am importing a 12k poly geometry since 4 am and now its 7 am still “Processing changes 2 of 3”.
I had to redo my work after a few power outages this week, but hardware seems fine and UE4 runs the same.
