How do i open up the solution in visual studio

Hi

I am getting the RunUAT.bat ERROR: AutomationTool was unable to run successfully error. I downloaded visual studio but dont know how to open up the code. I added in the toolbar at the top however it has no dropdowns to select or anything. Please can someone help give me a step by step guide in to fixing this error.

You need to find the .sln file in your projects root folder and double click it

there are so many files in the root, where do i look?

I think you may be looking in the wrong place. you need to be looking in the same folder that your .uproject file is in

I dont think i have that though, I only have this in my project files

Ahh okay, you need to right click on the unreal project file and click generate visual studio project files

Need to add source code in the editor it says. Whats the best way to go about this. I just want to stop this packaging error from occurring :frowning:

Are you still experiencing this packaging issue? If so are you able to reproduce it in either engine version 4.8.3 or 4.9.2?
