UMG - widgets stretch after screen rotation (mobile devices)

This problem is better explained by a picture. First, when I launch the game:

Then, when I rotate my phone 90 degrees:

UMG needs to detect when screen orientation changes, and regenerate widgets when that happens.

Meanwhile, is there a way to fix this?

  2. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  3. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  4. What device are you using exactly? (Example: iPhone 6 plus)
  5. What OS is the device running? (Example: iOS 8.0.1)

Yes, this happens on a new project as well.

Could be an issue with my phone then.

Edit - did you try this on an Android or iOS phone? Could be a problem specific to Android. Let me know if it works for you on an Android 4.4.2 phone.

After looking into your issue I was able to confirm with a developer that rotation from portrait to landscape or visa versa is not currently supported on Android devices at this time. A similar issue (UE-11383) has been reported. I will be sure to bump the community interest on this issue. Thank you for your time and information.

I guess this is the reason why in 4.9.0 preview 4, the screen will not rotate on android.
I hope you fix this, i saw the same reply 1 year ago.

Could you provide the current setting that you are using for the orientation inside of your project settings?

I’m seeing this on my android still. Was there ever a fix for this?

Seeing this now with 5.1.1, iOS 16.3.1. Previously (earlier iOS) was able to change orientation without difficulty. Any fixes?
