I am trying to install the unreal engine (v4.7.2) I do not have any previous installs on the computer. I am not behind a company firewall. I have attached snapshots of both my machine spec. as we’ll as the banner window that pops up when install fails. Any help would e awesome as I am jonsing to make some stuff

Try the troubleshooting steps in this section of the troubleshooting guide.
If nothing works, follow the steps towards the bottom of that page and generate your Debug Logs. Then post them here.

I went thru the punch list and still no bueno. i have attached a log file
cannot help but notice that there are a lotto posts of users experiencing similar errors.

Hi cchristman,
Looking at you logs it looks like it’s trying to find the staging directory and can’t find it. This might be due to not having read/write properties or perhaps moving any of the Launcher folders around.
Can you tell me what you see in “/Users/Shared/UnrealEngine/Launcher/PatchStaging” ?

also I see you mentioned v4.7.2 thought the latest version you should be seeing is 4.7.6. Do you not see a 4.7.6 available to download?

Thanks for responding. Yes, My error. I am trying to install 4.7.6. I will check out /Users/Shared/UnrealEngine/Launcher/PatchStaging when I get back to the casa and post a response. I checked firewall and am logged n as Admin, so hopefully I can narrow down the root cause
