Lightmap size error

I’m making a map with foliage and now the lighting refuses to bake, it says that the lightmap is too big even though I already unchecked “cast static shadows” for every of my instances, shouldn’t this make them ignore shadow baking? Or do I need to somehow apply these settings from the instance settings tab to the ones already placed in the map? Could this be caused by specific actors in the foliage? If so how do I know which ones?

This is just a warning and not a that your lightmap resolution is high. It’s not a requirement to lower it, although it would help in any performance and optimization issues.

Looking at your setting you need to enable the “Lightmap Resolution” setting so that it uses the lower value, which it’s giving the warning about, even though it’s not casting shadows.

Then once, you rebuild lighting you should no longer see this warning since the LM value is within a range that isn’t too high for the number of instances in the scene.
