Epic Games Launcher fails to load

Hello -

I’ve just installed the MSI, but my launcher fails to load. I’ve attached my dxdiag and log zip.

When I say it fails to load, I mean absolutely nothing happens. Double-click the standard-installed shourtcut, get the “wait” cursor, and then nothing. I’ve checked my task manager (and everything else on the help page on the wiki), and there’s nothing running.

Hi ZLNMSU,

I looked through your dxdiag and your graphics card doesn’t meet our specs. An Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS is only Directx 9 compatible and a Directx 11 compatible card or higher is required in order to run the Launcher or editor.

Here is what we recommend:

  • Desktop PC with Windows 7 64-bit or a Mac with Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later

  • 8 GB RAM

  • Quad-core Intel or AMD processor

  • DX11 compatible video card

Also, this is a great place to get ideas and discuss specs with others that are using the editor.
