Cylinder shaped particle?

Hi. Im trying to make a different looking thruster particle animation like they used to do in some older games. It would be 1 wide but short cylinder with flame texture on it and after time it would transform into a thinner and longer cylinder like in this picture http://i.imgur.com/X5ugzlM.png

I think it looks pretty cool but I dont know how to do this in cascade or is it even possible. How should I progress in order to get this done? Any help appreciated.

Yea, you would make a mesh in max/maya/blender etc and then use that mesh inside of your particle system by way of mesh emitter. Then, you can adjust the mesh size scale etc within cascade. Google will be your friend :slight_smile:
