[Feature Request] Unreal Doc Commenting

Dear Epic staff

I have an idea to get the documents improved faster.

Lets say i am reading something from documents, for example information about some class and realized something is actually removed, changed, or misspelled. Anything that is wrong or not good enough about documentation.

Then ,by selecting that part of the document, the person who realized that will leave a comment there. Saying “This is/should be blah blah”. This way we can have a faster improved and better documentation. And Epic staff who are responsible for documentation will change it accordingly if the comment is right.

There should of course be a rule set for Epic staffs good good and if someone violates these rules. That person will not be able use that feature for some time.

This may be a bad idea. You know better, just an idea that came to mind.

What you are suggesting is along the lines of wiki, which I would second. The documentation cycle for UE4, in its current incarnation, is absolutely horrible. So many things are out of date as to make a lot of the documentation useless at best. Even a simple feedback button on the documentation pages would be sufficient.

The point is simply, we need something so that we can give feedbacks. But my solution is to make doc updates faster so doc would be up-to-date mostly.

Also to further improve i believe versioning is required with the doc. But that is just too hard to do with something that keeps getting huge updates with each version and as big as UE4.

Post suggestions in feedback forum

Sorry, i didn’t know that.

Going to do it now
