I can't get the engine to load. I've tried many methods!

I have tried many, if not all, troubleshooting methods!
I have done the log in as a admin, I have done natural trouble shooting, I have tried clearing up it’s properties, I have tried windows command and even uninstalling and re-installing the engine!

I feel like I’m at my ropes end. I simply CAN’T get the launcher to function!

Every method I’ve tried has been a bust. So, this is my last resort. I have tried, everything except this.

Hi Haxourus Imp,

First thing to try is to get the updated driver for you Graphics Card. You are using 13.251.0.0 and the latest version is 14.501.1003.

If the engine still doesn’t launch, lets determine if it’s the Launcher or the engine that is causing the issue. You can do this by bypassing the Launcher and trying to open the editor directly.

  • Go the the file path below (your file path may differ).

  • :\Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.7\Engine\Binaries\Win64

  • Then try to open ‘UE4Editor.exe’.

Post back here with your results.

It works~!
It seems that the launcher is having problems recognizing the ‘launch’ command.
However, now that I have officially Bypassed the hurdle, I shall learn more on making games and different versions of it!

The graphics card is still not understood by me just yet. But, I’ll be sure to ask a expert on the newer version of it.

Well, now we have another problem. The engine keeps crashing every time I open it.

Sigh

One thing after the other.

If you haven’t updated your graphics card driver, there is a good chance that is the issue. Once you do that, if the crash is still happening, post back here to let me know.
