Light very dark

After my experience with Cry Engine I was really excited to get to UE for its lighting system. However to my lack of the engine understanding, I can’t seem to achieve a very strong spot light Hard edges, strong illumin ation.

This is what I could do in CryEngine:

This is what I am getting in UE:

notice in UE intensity is at its highest.
it is probably something simple. I generally see this with both spot AND point lights

That’s Inverse Square Falloff acting as it should be. You can turn it off if you extend Light tab in Details panel, or you can use an IES profile and have more control over it(and more realistic light cone.)

Btw, just in case you might not have noticed, the light in Cryengine is a point light and yours is a spot light.
