Apex cloth scrambles/flips textures on character.

Here is the character without the apex cloth.

Here it is with apex cloth. Notice everything is flipped except her left arm appears to be normal.

My material. With and without the textureCoordinate node its the same results.

Here are the settings for the base color texture

All the textures were made in Substance Painter.
The skeletal mesh was made in Blender.
I made the cloth simulation for the dress with the standalone Apex cloth tool.

I’ve seen similar questions and this is the result of everything I’ve found in them. I’m sort of at a loss for what to try next and don’t understand why the Apex cloth would flip my UVs like this, if that is what it is doing.

Still struggling with this.

I’m facing exactly the same problem. I’ve repeated step-by-step a video tutorial of Geo Dav Blender UE4 Cloth - YouTube but cloth’s UVs are flipped once I assign apx to it.

If you’re following geodav’s tutorial with the external Apex cloth tool, you need to go to the Input Mesh tab (first one) and in the modifications pane to the right, set UV Origin Bottom Left. The APX file affects the UVs and this is why you’re getting odd behaviour.

Hope this answer helps someone even if it’s too late to help the OP.

Thanks. I will have to try this.

You are a hero.

I am having the same issue, but i am using the 3ds max apex plugin. Where can I find this “set UV Origin Bottom Left” option?

UDKAP, you will probably need to ask this as a new question as I haven’t used 3DSMax in a very long time, never with APEX and I suspect no one looking here has either as the question is specific to the standalone tool. I quickly checked google but only found your question over at nvidia.
