Is there a way for a decal to only affect certain surfaces?

When you’re using a decal, it affects everything inside it, and seems that the only way to turn it off is by marking in the rendering component that it doesn’t receive decals.

Is there a way where you can define that a decal can only affect WorldStatic for example? I.e. basically have objects that can be affected only by certain types of decals and not others?

Have you solved this issue yet? I’m new to UE4 and pondering over the same question.
