Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Importing one template into another.

I have been working in a Blank project with Starter Content. Now I would like to import some of the Third Person assets into my current project. For example the Skeletal mesh and animations. Is there a way of importing packets from other projects? For example to merge the Third Person content into my Blank Project.

In the "content browser" go to "add new" ant then at the top of the list is "Add feature or content pack" click on that and a window pops up where you can select which template to import. I hope this helps.

I believe there is a "Migrate" option but as far as merging templates, I am entirely unsure and am also looking into it (https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/Browser/UserGuide/Migrate/index.html).

Right Click on the asset > hover over Asset Actions > Click Migrate> hit okay > then Find the other project you want to migrate that asset to and ( make sure to only select content folder ) and click select folder > lastly click okay.
