Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples

Also, I have just discovered that when I attempt to launch the game from the editor, I the player controller does not respond to any input.

It works fine when playing in the editor window though.. I'm completely puzzled :?

UPDATE:

For some reason it is working today. Last night I left it building lighting. When I began today the performance is suddenly unbelievable. Discovered that dynamic shadows is the cause. Not sure why its suddenly giving me this problem. (actually may have solved it now as I'm writing this...)

But now I can cook / build successfully! I can also launch from the editor and it works as expected (except for new performance issue).

However, when I attempt to run the packaged version, I get "this program is used for packaged games and is not meant to be run directly"

Tried building again after some more playing around and it works. I don't know why it works, but my thanks goes to the little gremlins that live inside UE4 for sorting it out!

I can't remember exactly. I believe I was turning off some stuff in rendering, probably related to shadows and/or instanced meshes.
